Mercury planet
Solar System Planets and Moon:
1: Mercury
Mercury is the smallest planet in our solar system and closest to the Sun. It orbits the Sun in 97-87 days and rotates around its axis in 59 days. It has no moon.
Q:What is Mercury planet is made up of?
Structure and Texture:-
Mercury does not have an atmosphere, but according to NASA, it is composed of 42% oxygen, 29% sodium, 22% hydrogen, 6% helium, 5% potassium and some other compounds.
Its magnetic field is only 1% of Earth's magnetic field
Inner structure: Its inner core is made of 2200 to 2400 mil iron and 300 to 400 mil thick layer of silicate.
Axis:-
Its distance from the Sun is 35,983,095 miles and its axis is elliptical
Q: How hot the Mercury Planet is?
During sunny side temperatures is of 750 to 800 degrees F., while the nighttime temperature plummets to nearly -330 degrees F. The average temperature on Mercury is a balmy 354 degrees F.
Research and Exploration:-
The first spacecraft to reach Mercury was Mariner 10, which studied 45 percent of Mercury, followed by NASA's MESSENGER craft flyby in March 2011. Also, on April 30, 2015, a spacecraft crashed into Mercury.
